Premiere: Paper-making course at the adult education center

Today, paper is one of the most versatile materials in the world, with a per capita consumption of 229 kg per year. We encounter paper in our everyday lives in the form of the morning newspaper, toilet paper, oil filters in cars, writing paper in the office, banknotes, and packaging for online orders. Paper is now over 2000 years old and has changed significantly over the course of history.

In this course, you will look at the history of paper from its beginnings to the present day and learn about the differences firsthand. You will make paper as it was 250 years ago and take a tour of the Jass-PM1, one of the most modern paper machines in Europe.
