Identifying (and advertising) vacancies, as well as suitable applicants.

Legal basis of the processing activity

The processing is necessary for the purpose of initiating the employment relationship in accordance with Section 26 (1) (1) of the German Data Protection Act. (Any storage or disclosure to third parties that extends beyond the current application process requires consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, and the conditions for consent in accordance with Art. 7 (1-4) GDPR must be met.)

Transfer of data to a third country

There is no plan to transfer data to third countries.

Additional information requirements

Length of storage of personal data

Six months (deletion after six months (unless consent to a longer period of storage has been given). Retention period of two months in accordance with Section 21 (5) of the German General Act on Equal Treatment plus reasonable processing time.)
If a candidate is not recruited, six months after the end of the application process; two years with consent to be added to the applicant pool; in the event of recruitment: part of the employee’s personnel file.

Rights of the data subject

You have a right to receive information (pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR) vis-à-vis the controller about your personal data, as well as the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 (1) GDPR). Furthermore, you have a right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR) and the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
